Cold water fishing 11/25/23
The winter time water temps are finally here in the marsh! I like fishing the warmer times as well but in reality we are here to have those fish pushed up shallow and floating in colder water temps. I love this style of fishing see them float! They float to get some warmth from the sun in the 50-60 degree water temperatures! The giant black drum also come out to play when it gets cold which is such a cool fish getting up to 40-50lbs in the winter. This area continues to see very little pressure based on its proximity to anything- it is very difficult for guides to make a living here so it dosent see the traffic some more popular Louisiana fisheries do. I am getting some good Tarpon reports in the Everglades but tuff to beat what I’m seeing on a daily basis in the marsh lol. I am filling up quick for the marsh next season and full in the Everglades but if you are looking for a Naples fly Fishing Guide or a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide let me know and I can hook you up!
thanks and have fun
