Cooler days ahead 08/17/22
The cooler days are just ahead when the bait will be plentiful and some cooler water temps will fire up some schools here in Louisina. With a couple calm days the big redfish pods will school up along with some jacks for their annual spawn in Sept/Oct. I always love seeing the chaos that insures when a big ball of redfish find a school of shrimp- watching them roll on the surface for the shrimp is a sight to see and you know you are dealing with some aggressive fish when they are doing that! The jacks seems to slow down when they are hitting shrimp or pogies- when they are chasing lady fish they seem to move 1000mph, nice when hooked but tuff to stay on top of! These big fish can be found cruising the shoreline as well but the schools are something dreams are made of. On spinning gear forget about it- truly amazing to target these guys in deeper water not on fly, so much fun. I have a few February dates still available or I am booked for the following season already. I have a lot of guide buddies with great open dates this fall in the Everglades. If you are looking for a Naples Fly Fishing Guide or a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide let me know and I can get you hooked up with a guide colleague.
Have fun!
