Cooler weather 09/4/22

I have been taking some time off the water to head north to some cooler weather! While I sure do love those hot mornings with rolling tarpon or tailing redfish it sure is nice to feel some different seasons in the upper peninsula of Michigan. With so many lakes, ponds and rivers there is boaters and fisherman all over the place. It makes me feel very grateful to be able to guide in some of this country’s best water for giant redfish and tarpon. There is not many corners of this country or world that have so many great opportunities to sight cast such fantastic fish. While I actually enjoy the weather up here and the smaller crowds I sure wouldn’t know would miss the sight of a big hungry redfish coming down a shoreline in the marsh or a string of tarpon swimming Oceanside in the Keys. I am starting my Louisiana season October 1st and while I’m heavily booked through Redfish and Tarpon season I have a few open slots and always taking bookings for the following season. I also have some great guide colleagues if you are looking for a Naples fly fishing guide or a Everglades fly fishing guide. I will send some cooler weather to Florida from Michigan!
