Early DECEMBER 12/11/21

Fishing has been fantastic down here in the bayou! The big fish have moved in and with some cooler water temps they are crawling and aggressive. This is really what feels like the start of the season as we have just gotten our first real cold fronts- seems like it was pushed back a month due to the warmer air. This is good for us as most guides leave the marsh before Christmas for the season and sees little to no pressure in January and February- both great months to target the giants up in the marsh floating in shallow water. I have had such a surge in bookings here that I am filling up my 2022/2023 season here in Louisiana. This is because it is a results driven fishery, we can have some incredible days in the Florida Everglades or the Keys but consistently this place out fishes FL and with big fish being sight casted and caught on a regular basis it’s no wonder this place is the hottest fishery in the US. I still have a few dates available for those mid sized tarpon in the Fl Keys in late June/Early July but my Everglades Fly Fishing season is totally booked. I have a lot of buddies in that area so if you are looking for a Everglades Fly Fishing guide or Naples fly fishing guide I have been referring to my professional guide buddies in the area. Please look at your Calendars and book as early as possible. Have fun and call me with any questions about the areas.
