Fly Fishing Lessons

As an angler with over twenty years experience in numerous fly fishing venues, I am able to help fly fishers in every type of angling.
All Ages and Experience Levels Welcome!
I offer group beginner novice and intermediate classes on a monthly schedule, individual instructions and on-water classes for advanced anglers. All classes are designed with your fly fishing goals in mind.
Whether you are seeking to begin a new adventure in fishing, prepping for the trip of a lifetime or just want to hone your skills, I will be able to take you to the level you need to catch more fish.
MY PROGRAMS
Beginner Novice & Intermediate
(Scheduled monthly from Sept. to April) (includes all tackle, leader material, refreshments Basic casting, getting distance, presentation, advanced casting techniques, reading water, the “double haul”, simple knots, fly selection
On-The-Water Class for Novice Fly-fishers
(This half day class is taken aboard my flats skiff. Water/soft drinks, tackle, license and flies are included)
This class is for spin fishers and bait casters that want a new dimension in their angling experience. The class takes place on the water in true fishing conditions. I cover basic casting, fly selection, knots and leaders and explain all the equipment needed for fishing. You will be in the pristine waters of the Everglades and will actually catch fish while learning to cast
Private Instruction
I am available for private instructions for groups and individuals upon request.
Each class is designed around a specific goal of the students. Anglers getting ready for a trip or wanting to learn a new technique should opt for this class.
One-on-One
Class takes place aboard my skiff. All tackle, license, soft drinks/water and flies included.
The fastest way to learn to fly fish is one on one with your instructor. Anglers on the fast-track can gather all the knowledge and experience they can absorb in a day on the water with me
You bring a thirst for knowledge and I’ll provide the rest. We’ll cover all aspects of fly-casting and fly-fishing including advanced techniques and tactics, the double haul, curve casting, back casting, presentation and more. This is not just for saltwater anglers, but for trout, salmon and bass fishermen also.
