July 07/12/22
July is hot in many ways- the temps are up there but there is always a give and a take. It’s hot because it’s calm! The calm days are special ones down here in the keys- with lots of post spawn fish around the mornings have been nothing short of magical. With some big ones in the back it’s still hard to turn away from those mid sized ones as we are seeing schools of hundreds of them together- so cool to see in this beautiful water and backcountry. I have a couple more weeks here and always miss my end of the season here in the keys- bonefish, tarpon, permit, cuda what more could you ask for it’s such a special fishery. I am at 90% capacity for next season so if you would like to see the keys let me know otherwise I have a week left in the THE Everglades and I am full in Louisina. If you are looking for a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide or a Naples Fly Fishing Guide let me know and I have a lot of professional guide colleagues that are fishing the area year round. Have fun!
