LATE SEASON 07/10/23

It’s a beautiful time to be in the Keys- much of the traffic has moved on, the weather is a little calmer and we’re dealing with some more comfortable fish willing to eat a fly. The backcountry gets better and better with each passing day of the full moon. These fish are going to be post spawn fish and will not have the migration and spawn on their minds! A lot of fish will file into the backcountry as they will not swim all the way north. It’s a time of year I like staying in the backcountry and tarpon fishing along with some great bone fishing with the good light and calmer seas. I love some keys bonefish- we have been getting some good 4-5lbers in the backcountry. The mid size tarpon have began to lay up and still some good ocean swimmers on the right tides that have been eating. I have the below dates available for next season and have began to book up a year in advance so if you are looking to tarpon fish in the Keys or Everglades let’s try and get you on the schedule! I have some guide buddies working 12mo a year in the Everglades so if you are looking for a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide let me know or a Naples Fly Fishing Guide I can hook you up with one of my guide colleagues.
Thanks so much to my clients for a great Tarpon season.
