Louisiana 01/16/20

The marsh has been on fire- when the weather is good enough the fish are everywhere and super happy. I’ve never seen so many big fish roaming the marsh. January is a tuff month for the cold fronts in LA but when you can have a little flexiliblity you are going to have some of the best fishing of the year. It is super stable numbers and can be found in the interior where the water is clean. The fish will be crawling the banks and super exciting to cast to. We put some serious weight on the boat daily with steady action on flies and plugs. I am finishing up my last few trips here for the season but I’m always sad to leave when the fish are so stacked up in the interior. I am taking bookings for next season already (Oct-Jan). If you are looking for a Louisiana fly fishing guide give me a call to discuss some options. I still have some great dates fly fishing Naples and Everglades area- I look forward to it- have fun
