New Moon Backcountry Tarpon 06/14/21
With the new moon in June passed behind us you can start to see less migratory fish and mostly post spawn fish. I’m hoping to get some steady weather for the rest of June to fish the backcountry for laid up fish in June! We have been have some incredible days in the back with the 20lb class fish. We have had days landing over 15 of these awesome fish during some calmer weather and good tide swings. The larger 40-80lbers have been available early in the morning or later in the afternoon. This has been a tuff season with weather and rain seeming to happen more often than not but that’s the game. I am taking bookings for next season here or in Naples. If you are looking for a Naples Fly Fishing Guide give me a call or email amd we can discuss possibilities either in the Everglades or here in Big Pine Key for next season. I am at 75% capacity for the Louisiana Marsh Fall-Winter as well. If you are looking for a New Orleans Fly Fishing guide give me a shout and we can get something on the books! That place is explosive and super consistent based on weather. I will be takin the month of August off to travel and back in Louisiana starting September. I have 2 days at the end of June with a cancelation if you are looking to get in in some of this tarpon action! Drop me a line if you are looking for a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide!
have fun
