Red October 10/6/23

Dreaming of giant reds as the summer winds down! I will be in the Louisiana Marsh September-February this season. As the years go on I like to spend more and more time up there- it’s my favorite place to guide hands down. I have a pretty full calendar but still have a couple openings for this season or I am taking bookings for the 2022 season. The fishing on the West Bank is 2nd to none and I do not see the pressure some of the more popular areas see. Bull redfish can be found in a variety of situations up there and with little pressure can presume them on many different fly patterns and lures including top water bites which are explosive! The Louisiana marsh still has the exploratory feel to it being you see very little skiff pressure and some little nooks that maybe no one has every thrown a fly into. This fish will be schooled up early in the season and tailing or crawling when the water falls out later in the season. It’s fun for clients to tie their own fly patterns here because they eat many different patterns that are correctly presented. Anyways I am always excited to get my season started in this special fishery with new and return clients alike. I still have a lot of good guides in the Everglades that have openings if you are looking for a Naples fly fishing guide or Everglades fly fishing guide. I will be in Louisiana if you need a Louisiana Fly fishing guide!
Have fun.
