September in the Marsh 09/12/20
The beginning of September in the Marsh has been unbelievable, some consistent weather has been around which has let us open our range and fish barrier islands and the Gulf of Mexico more often. I still have been consistently fishing the upper marsh lakes and pond for upper slot redfish. The large black drum Have been around in good numbers as well as Jack Crevelle here and there. September is a great month to come to Louisiana as there is no one guiding here at that time from FL- I have not seen another skiff all month! The water levels have been regular with the tides and the water clarity has been stable. I have a few days in October still available as well as a couple in November/Dec/Jan if you are looking to try and get to the marsh this fall/winter. I am booking up tarpon season fairly well for Feb-April (Everglades) May-July (Big Pine Key). Let me know if you have any interest in chasing some tarpon this spring as well! I look forward to getting on the water with new and returning clients again this season.
Have Fun!
