Steady Tarpon Fly Fishing 07/1/22
Tarpon tarpon tarpon! It’s been a insane couple weeks- all thanks to Mother Nature. The weather has been calmer with some great tides and the big ones are chewing along with insane smaller backcountry fish. These fish on the outside are all post spawn so willing to eat a fly that’s in front of them and there is a lot more fish roaming the backcountry and it’s a sight to see the numbers on some of these slick calm mornings we have been having. There is not much more fun than sight fishing to backcountry fish especially the numbers of juvis that are back there in late June/July. With the outside being not as crowded we can slide out there on the right tide and get some giants to eat a well placed fly. This time of year is great weather usually- hot but calm! I am nearly full here in the Keys for next season if you are interested in this clear water fishery let me know. My guide colleagues have had some great tarpon fishing in the Everglades along with Naples sight fishing has been great along with snook fishing. If you are looking for a Everglades Fly Fishing Guide or a Naples Fly Fishing Guide let me know and I can get you hooked up with one of my buddies. I look forward to a great finish to tarpon season!!
Have fun
